Convicted killer accused of setting Reading woman on fire
A 32-year-old convicted killer from Philadelphia was arrested shortly after he doused a woman with gasoline and set her on fire Thursday in her northwest Reading home, city police said.
Police identified the attacker as Ronald E. Williams Jr., who was living in a halfway house in the 400 block of Walnut Street.
The 49-year-old victim suffered burns to her lower body and was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown. She was in critical condition late Thursday.
