Judy Schwank losing the Photoshop war as Senate race slings into its final weekend

The Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, which is an important union, sent out a new mailing on behalf of Judy Schwank. Over a background of wet, creamy brown matter are the words: How much MUD will they sling at Judy Schwank?" accompanied by this dandy picture.

What are those browny things floating around Judy's head and shoulders? They appear to exist on a different plane? And why is Judy smiling? This is not a flattering pose. She looks like she is levitating hunks of...nah, I'm not going to say it. With all those manufacturing jobs Larry Medaglia said were lost during her county tenure, could not one of the furloughed retrain in graphics arts and pitch in to help the Schwank campaign? Or maybe it is one of the sad jobless who is hurling gunk at Judy in revenge.

The image is so ghastly it serves no constructive purpose...other than to inspire bloggers to reproduce it with snarky wisecracks.

The AFL-CIO should have taken the high road. Perhaps run an unretouched photo showing how much the Republican candidate resembles a (possibly) closeted homosexual Scientologist playing a foul-mouthed killer in a movie.
