Reading Eagle geniuses announce sensational strategy to multiply dwindling ad dollars

The Reading Eagle has a new promotion in the oven and it is unveiled in the morning newspaper, complete with stock photo. If it goes off as planned, it could bring in maybe five times as many cash dollars as Town Square, the thrilling online advertising hub that the Berks business community just can't stop talking about.
The new deal is called Bigdeal$ and it works like this: A business buys an ad to offer newspaper readers a 50% off discount...but...the Biddeal only clicks into action if enough people sign up for it. The paper wants readers to call their friends to tell them about the Bigdeal (most people in any given neighborhood don't buy the paper) for even bigger savings. Thus, if Boscov's is offering ladies underwear at half off and you clue in the widow woman down the street she "will love you for it" (the Eagle's words, not mine).
Wow! What an insanely clever idea! How come nobody ever thought of this group gig before? If Bigdeal$ catches on, the Eagle could even roll it out nationally as a franchise, to Gannett and all the other big boys.
They could call it something like GangBangForYourBuck...or Groupies...no, Grouper, just like the fish.
The logo could be a photo of a fish wrapped inside the newspaper.
