Uh-oh, now we have to worry about rogue dentists:
When Margaret Feinberg first went to the office of Dr. Gregory Pedro at Fine Arts Dental in Wyomissing in April 2005, she thought she was going to get the best treatment available in the area by the only certified specialist in cosmetic dentistry in Berks County.
Pedro, who specializes in implants and full mouth reconstruction, had been recommended to the Exeter Township woman by another dentist. Pedro's office was outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment, she said.
But after two years of painful surgeries and more than $87,000 paid to Pedro, Feinberg said, she stopped the treatments, convinced the dentist did not know what he was doing. She later learned that he is not certified as a specialist in cosmetic dentistry.
The Feinberg woman now wants the state to step in clamp more controls on the rogues, hich only will distract the lawmakers from property-tax reform, which is just around the bend.
