On a chilly day like today, sip some warm boilo

Here's a recipe that's close to Uncle Art's classic:
Traditional Boilo:
This is my grandfathers traditional recipe.
- 4 oranges
- 4 lemons
- 1 cup raisins
- 8 oz. honey
- 1/2 to 1 tsp nutmeg, cloves, caraway seed, anise (to taste)
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 tbsp. sugar
Peel oranges and lemons, and squeeze them into a pot. Also throw in peels and all other parts of them. Add all other ingredients and simmer on stove stirring often (you may also put all of this in a crock-pot for 2 to 4 hours for better flavor).
Add in some ginger ale (to taste), I usually use anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 a bottle. Let cook a few more minutes.
Strain.
Remove from heat and add 1 bottle of whisky (use 4 queens if available).
Serve warm. It is supposed to be strong and sipped, if it is to strong, add more ginger ale.
Of course, Everclear works great instead of Four Queens.
