Let the correction fit the crime
Friday, February 5, 2010 at 07:08AM The following correction appeared in today's paper on Page A2:
Berks County is seeking less than $1 million for an engineering study to examine a 3-mile stretch of the West Shore Bypass that needs to be repaired. The amount of money sought for the study was incorrect in Thursday’s Reading Eagle.
The original story, which ran on the top of Wednesday's A1, gave the figure as $6.5 million, prompting an outpouring of snark on this blog, the newspaper's comments section. and local talk radio.
This just goes to prove that bloggers cannot rely on the mainstream press to provide accurate information.
