JoePa earned measly $1 million in '07 after leading Penn State for 800 years

Salary records that Penn State was forced to reveal today under Pennsylvania's new open-records law show that Coach Joe Paterno pocketed $1,037,322 for the 2007-2008 season, counting perks, roughly double his base salary of $512,664.

Judged strictly from a sports standpoint, he has as much value as Kendry Morales, the backup first baseman for the Angels. But JoePa was on the disabled list for a spell.
