Shiftless townshippers want you and me to pay for their police protection

Get a load of this Tilden Township supervisor, Judy Romig, bitching and moaning, whining and griping, about the burden that paying for full-time police protection would inflict on fancy Tilden Township:

"It would devastate our township."

And in Ruscombmanor Township, Supervisor Richard L. Seidel squawks, "We couldn't afford it. And to put the taxes up to pay the bill, these people would probably slice our throats... If we can get away with the state police, look at the taxes we save in the township."

Notes the Eagle: Ruscombmanor has one of the county's lowest tax rates, at 0.09 mill, or $9 for a property assessed at $100,000.

Well, boo-hoo to you, too.
