Text your legislator to tell him you support a ban on texting

Drumroll, please.

The House Transportation Committee has released a bill that would impose stiff fines on driveres caught text messaging while behind the wheel.

The lone exceptions would be texting 9-1-1, texting while your car is stuck in traffic or parked, or texting your wife to tell her you'll be late for supper.

And how still are those fines?

Fifty bucks.

Problem solved.
